Thinking of selling.....

I recently had the chance to drive a Z8 and was instantly hooked, this means my M Coupe will have to go due to space constraint at my storage facility. Not fully decided on whether to sell but the Z8 will be available for me to purchase at the end of August!

BMW Z4 M Coupe | 2006 | 5,900 miles! | 3.2L | 343BHP | 6-speed Manual | Full BMW Main Dealer Service History | MOT until April 2023 | Interlagos Blue-Metallic | Black Nappa Leather | Brushed Aluminum Interior Trim | Professional Hi-Fi loudspeaker system | M-stamped seats

Thoughts on whether to sell or hold?

I think your issue here is not whether to sell or not but would you get a buyer for the kind of money you'll presumably want for such a low mile car. There's a roadster on 9k miles that's been or sale for nigh on two years now, unless you're willing to be realistic on price and take the hit of course. Problem here is finding someone that wants to keep it at such low miles as I'm afraid that's it's Achilles heel.

Having said that it only needs one person. Just imho of course and good luck whatever you do, I'd love a Z8, arguably one of the best looking roadsters ever, I certainly think so anyway...! :driving:

(Controversial)
There aren’t many ways to upgrade from a MC, but a Z8 is one of them.

Set your price, bang up an advert, and give someone else the opportunity to own that lovely low mileage Z4.

Lovely lovely car, but realistically it's probably 'only' worth late 20's which seems crazy, but I'd guess that is the very top on the MC market. Just need need the additional £200k for the Z8 then

They're nice to look at, but wouldn't be in my top 30 of £200k+ car choices...lovely place to be to be able to buy one though

Having an opportunity to buy a Z8 isn't going to happen very often!

But you'd need to be sure you wouldn't miss your MC as I think you'd struggle to find another with that sort of mileage.

Good luck whatever you decide.

I have a feeling that money isn’t a driver in this situation, so then it’s probably just space. I would find some more space, that z4 will bother you when it’s gone, I doubt you will find one like it again without paying silly money so just keep it

In your position I’d buy the Z8, put the z4 in with a proper storage company for a few months then reevaluate.

Shouldn’t cost the earth and will give you time to see if you miss the Z4.

if cash isnt the issue, park and bag the Z4, its only going to go up in value, and you can chuck up a for sale thread, and wait for the cash you want.. yeah, dayum.. Z8 baby!!! :D

Thank you all for your responses. I now have the Z8 and am still in two minds about the Z4. I had them together last week and gasped in amazement at scale similarities. There is something so special about the ZMC, even next to the Z8. If anyone wants to make me an offer for the ZMC I can't refuse, let me know.
