Thinking of fitting a boot spoiler?

Is it wrong to fit an Alpina one to a non Alpina?
No, I can't see why anyone should think it would be 'wrong' - the Alpina aero kit is available for purchase so, if you like the look and can stomach the price...

Just as long as you don't start adding lots of fake ///M badges... :poke:

And if you do fit a Alpina one, that gives you rights of entry to the Alpina section on here, it's the law. :exitright:

Mine came with one. I wouldn't bother fitting one if I didn't have one, but I do quite like it. But then I like my whippy aerial, mud flaps and gimp-style wind deflector! :P

Really not helping the image of the boot spoiler there RickRob :(

I won't tell you I removed the one that came on my car then.

I think you just did :|

It's not a requirement, all are welcome, we're very egalitarian over in the Alpina section... unlike the ///M brigade... :fuelfire:

Don't worry, it didn't go to waste

It would seem there are a couple more options... http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=696353

Must say, in our humble opinion me and my 'sav' 10yr old daughter do prefer the Alpina spoiler but we would only fit with the kind permission from our Alpina colleagues on an e85 3.0si :D. And god permitting, with the caveat that we would have safe access and passage to the Alpina section on this forum x :exitright:

The aero one looks dreadful. The boot as standard has nice lines. No need to mess with it by sticking on something that looks like it came from Halfords.

+1000 its actually horrible.

The alpina one has grown on me over the years- when originally looking for my z in 07 I went to look at one that had the alpina spoiler on at a BMW stealer down south somewhere and my first question on seeing the car was to make sure the spoiler could be removed! Still don't like the aero one though- looks like a carry handle!

I have an AC Schnitzer one that I'd be prepared to sell.

Edited to add its for a coupe so possibly completely irrelevant to this thread ... ;)

I wouldn't be without my boot spoiler. But it is all personal taste the end of the day only you know if you want one or not? And only your opinion should count

Had never seen the boot spoilers until I viewed the Zed I ended up buying, now I really like them! Not sure I'd have one without....

You could always go for full-on ricer mode....

I'm in the if it's got one fine , but don't fit one yourself as it it looks so good without a spoiler, why spoil it

And those those Ricer spoilers are just awful .

:fuelfire:

Do it
I think my rear comes to a duck bill look without spoiler myself and very narrow
So I had one fitted by bmw
But all preference of each owner

I quite like the GT ones, but haven't got the balls to be seen with one fitted...

Although, I'm in two minds on this one...
