Thinking of buying Z4 2.5

Thank you for response, what would you pay for such a car which has 70,000 on the clock?

Either 2.5 or 3.0 on a 2003 year 70k between £4500 / £6000 dependent on condition,spec & service history
Downside of the early 2.5s is a lack of 6th gear :? can get annoying when continually looking for it

The car in question

A little scant in information  & it may be the light but door appears a different shade to the front/rear wing

i have a 2.5 03 plate and i do wish i got a 3.0 but to be honest the 2.5 is plenty and still lots of fun. The lack of 6th gear is a pain tho but i only use mine on the weekend...

Mr Wilkes thank you for your observation just looked at the picture and yes it does look a shade different I'm up there again tomorrow so will double check

Dan, I can't seem the extra gear would effect me as I drive different vehicles daily, as yourself this will be a weekend car

Again, this is better posted in the e85/6 area, it's been posted in the e89 area which won't get the best responses. Better in the e85/6 General area not e89 problems.

I've had my 2.5 for 5 years, it's a 53 plate with 88k miles. I've replaced the pads and discs myself, change the oil and filter every year and the air filter when required. I've done about 35k miles while I've owned it and had no issues whatsoever, except the roof motor which needs replacing!

For me the 2.5 is more than enough, done about 6 long weekends over to France and beyond and the car makes for a great journey. Trips have included numerous to the Nurburgring, where again for me, the car is well up to the job.

In hindsight, I don't regret no getting a 3.0, but do wish I'd got a higher spec version, with cruise and cup holders.

Good luck with your purchase.

Hello lance, I'm quite happy with the choice ok no cruise control but hey ho, wouldn't even bother with cup holders useless up to a point of not holding a travel mug.
About 2 years ago £1200 was spent on the car buy former keeper

I have now fitted cruise control, £58 I think the stalk was, took about 10 mins to fit. Cutting the cowling was the most difficult thing, really needing a dremel.
I will eventually get around to a drivers cup holder.
