Thanks for the replies. I've found a 3 ltr. that’s reasonably local and I've arranged to test drive it on Saturday.

Now you're talking!! :D

3.0 all the way! or the Si if you have 05+ hell on that line of thought....M

I recently bought a 3.0 04 and test drove the new 2.0 a week earlier. There is a huge difference between the perfomance of these cars. I have no complaints with the speed aspect whatsoever with the one I bought! I do some long mileage but get over 30mpg on a run in it.

Does anyone else use a Z4 for a daily commute?

What sort of mileage do you do?

Have you had any major mileage related problems?

Mine is a daily driver, and I just had Inspection I performed yesterday at 25,500 miles (not bad for having the car a little less than 1 and 1/2 years :driving: There were no problems found and the only service performed was the standard oil/filter change, valve adjust, and microfilter change, everything else looked good. I understand that I have the //M version, but in this matter regarding mileage and service, there should be no overall difference between the 3.0 an 3.2 servicing. :)

Cheers!

I'm picking her up on Saturday. :driving: :D

2.5 with 18" split rims, black leather and a few other goodies.

Thanks for the advice, both direct and from what I've read elsewhere on the forum.

The 3ltr I planned to test drive was sold before I got there. I'm more than happy with the performance of the 2.5 and it's better for my daily commute.

Good effort, nice car. I am running a 3.0 coupe and have done for 2 months now. The worst i have had out of a tank is 29mpg, the best has been 34mpg. I have had (touch wood) no problems so sar, other then the finance deal i am on which limits me to 10,000 miles a year. I am so going to pass that if i am not careful!

Enjoy the new wheels!

I drive mine to work about twice or thrice a week (depending on the weather)... about 45 miles total commute back and forth. You're right, it's private time to yourself and the drive largely depends on NYC traffic and highways. While I'm not holding my breath for NYC to improve its roads (FDR is horrendous with deep pot holes and large metal road "band-aids"), I would suggest to change your tires to non-runflats... I'm sure it will make the trip more pleasurable for you.

I'm in the process of changing them myself.

Hey MonsterZ4, that's a HOT color!!! Love it!!!
