Thinking about selling my zed

I think at 65 I'm getting a bit a bit past it for going out posing in a flash sports car - as usual with me my zed is sitting in the garage having covered only a handful of miles since I bought it last February - my second zed bought after I was persuaded to sell my previous one. We have a "daily" Fiesta which we've had since new and a Campervan ( which I'll never sell ) but I do like the comfort of a "big car " - I've always like Fords and the new style diesel Mondeo are great cars that are good to drive , very economical and cheap to buy. My wife loves the size of the Fiesta so I would have to keep it. To have a fourth car is daft as there is only two of us now so should I bite the bullet and sell the zed ? I have plenty of space on our drive for several cars and am fortunate enough not to need the money but it's coming down to being sensible. If I did sell it I would like to think I could get £7.5k for it - I know this is at the top end but it requires nothing at all to be done to it and there is nothing nationally available on Autotrader/PH's comparable with the same mileage - am I asking too much or is it worth trying ? The details of the car are:
2004 3.0SE
1 owner before me
29k miles
Sterling Grey
M seats ( no scuffs/wear )
Sat Nav
Xenons
Bluetooth
FBMWSH including 2 year changes of oil/brake fluid & Insp 1
Totally original coachwork with no dints/scratches/ scuffs - very few light stonechips.
Unmarked newly refurbed 108's with new Bridgestone RFT's on front and hardly worn matching RFT's on rear.
Full file with old MOT's /Receipts ( includes new battery ) and original invoice.
All three keys ( including that silly black plastic one )

Here is a photo ( if I did put it up for sale obviously there would be more )

Lovely looking car and surely with low miles your justified in the asking price..

Your never to old for a bit of open topped motoring though..

That's a lovely looking car! I'll keep checking this thread as i'm on the lookout for something exactly like this! Maybe just beyond my price range though! :(

Hi,
£7500 is bang on the money. I paid similar for an identical car with 14000 miles and equal condition. Don't be tempted to let it go cheaper, especially as it has nav etc..

I think that's a great price in that condition and with that mileage so don't let it go cheap it looks a beauty.

IMHO to get the best price, perhaps consider waiting until spring as convertibles take a nose dive in price in autumn/winter.

Your car looks great. I would definitely store till April May next year. If nothing else the test drive with the roof down should get you another £500 over now. Depreciation almost non existent with your mileage and excellent condition IMHO . Best of luck which ever way you decide.

Thanks for compliments - unlike some photos my car does look just as good in the "flesh" - It was stunning when I bought it - but I still spent quite a few quid getting it up to my
standard with the refurb of all the wheels and a couple of tiny dings being sorted - it now does look virtually in showroom condition , particularly as it's all original paintwork.

Interesting point regarding depreciation.

Still torn what to do - I am aware of course that verts are cheaper this time of the year so waiting until the Spring would make sense.
