Think my MacBook's battery is defect

Done this a couple of times lately, almost shuts down, screen comes back and battery shows empty, and gives a warning that it needs to be replaced.
 
If its upwards of 3 years old and you have used the laptop greatly and cycled the battery, its likely to be at its life's end.

i changed mine a few months ago. mine was an october 2009 machine.

easy to do, but the 2 holding screws are extremely odd.

Mine manifested lots of different battery autonomy times and would shutdown in a crash every now and again.

The macbook pro 13" with an upgraded 500GB hard disc does run hot enough to burn percy :o
