Very nice - low mileage, right colour and interior too.

Check that out really carefully. None produced in 2006....last year was 2005 55 IIRC. Production figures were 103 in 2004, 64 in 2005, total 167. Price is ok, though, if it's genuine, but never seen an 06 plate. :!:

Get a build number from the seller and the ALPINA VIN before you go near it. Then check with Sytner Notts; pm me if you need contacts.....

Strangely, it all looks right from the pix (though they're a bit far away) - correct reg area, badging is right, as are spoilers and bodykit. Can't see enough seat detail, though. Could be right, but go careful for above reasons! These aren 't selling quickly, so take your time......

Interesting stuff. Didn't look in detail, but how did it get on an '06 if it was a '55?

EDIT
So the above post was editted making my comment seem spurious....

I just checked the Alpina Register figures...numbers now above in my previous post. Needs treating with some care, due to year of reg, but may well be genuine. Questions need asking....and it's quite cheap. I'll peruse the register details and see if I can find it.

*edit* Glyn's (member on here, also) Japan Red RS #344 is the 'last but one' reg in Oct 2005. Maybe this is THE last one, and made an 06 plate?? This one isn't on there to check, though. As said - build number and VIN, and pix of both would help.

welcome back

could it be on an 06 car just because it was not registered for a few months? my coupe was built in Ahugust 08 but is was not registered until March 09

Agreed, the M I sent back was built Apr 06 and registered Mar 07

No idea what he means with this: "Low production vehicle so qualifies for low tax"

Alpina's low production volumes mean they didn't have to satisfy the emissions based road tax classification. My 55 plate is based on PLG rate, so £215 this year, whereas at the time it may have been classed in band K which would have been £260. If they had continued making the Alpina Roadster S after March 2006 and still not based it on PLG rate it would have been the same band as the Z4M, L which is £460 this year.

No idea if that is a genuine car although given the location of the photos I may be able to call a few mates and ask some questions...

But if it is, and it does go to someone on here...let me know when you're selling it in a few years...!

Thanks, interesting point - did not know that.

I have spoken with the seller and I am sure this is nothing other than a genuine Alpina... It's located near Brent Cross.. There is also a second car I may try and deal on.. Just editing to see what they come back with... This car is on the Alpina register

That's bu11sh1t. They're classed as plg at £215 pa as they have no CoC for emissions. *edit* oops - see Glyn beat me to it! However, our ALPINA D3BT IS emission-classed, so he's not 100% correct.
