I know many of you guys are well travelled so am looking for any "non standard" stuff to "must" do in each of these places starting with CT. we have all the well known stuff jotted down already, but thought you guys might know some gems !!

Thanks
Jamie

Firstly many congratulations!!

The good woman knows Hong Kong like the back of her hand, her father was the head of the English schools foundation there for 20yrs so from yearly visits she knows lots of the non usual tourist places to visit. We are going there next October for our hols and she has an itinerary lined up that fills 12 days to bursting, so when she gets in tonight I will ask her for some pointers for you, if you read this before tonight how many days will you be there?

We are there for 3 nights and staying in Kwaloon

Are you doing the Bridge Walk in Sydney that's a must. I did the twilight walk go up in the light turn round and you walk back down with the whole of the city aglow. Get round to Bondi beach then to Watsons Bay to Doyle's then get the water taxi back to the City. Simply stunning. Hong Kong is brill make sure you do the peak on the cable railway, the Pearl River crossing, and the nightlife the bars are second to none.

Ok here we go for Hong Kong:

Victoria peak walk, get up there on the tram, lunch at the peak cafe not the main tourist place up there, it's a smaller local place the tourist's ignore, then get the hair raising bus back down the mountain down, pretty scary!

Deep water bay coast path walk to Repulse bay and lunch at the Repulse bay restaurant, then go on to Stanley market.

Night life head for Lang Kwai fong just out of central, trendy bars and clubs.

Star ferry across the harbour is a must.

Just a few suggestions, you'll not have time to do all of them mind.

Hope that is of some help. Enjoy.
