Regarding the 2.0. Roadster:

Not fitting Run Flats
Non notchy gear box
Front parking sensors standard
Non leaking fog lights
Less harsh suspension

This is why I'm getting an MX5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol mx5  Have you seen what they look like after 5 years? Tin buckets

That decision certainly doesn't warrant all those exclamation marks (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Get on the MX5 forum, I am sure it's not utopia over there either. Anway, it's an odd choice in my opinion. Getting in touch with your feminine side? :poke:

My biggest grip is the horribly un-damped door lock and fuel flap lock mechanisms. I'd expect better on a fiesta let alone a 40k car. Picky I know, but for me it's the detail that makes a car like the z great and this is one component that stands out to me as a job that was done with a 'that'll do' attitude.

I've always found the door shut a little crashy too. I always wish it had a nice 'thud' as the door shuts. Fully aware that lightweight doors are a good thing, but a nicer weighting could have been achieved.

I know it's a common BMW fault, but the brakes can be found wanting at times.

If every 'compromise' was not made during the design process though every car would end up over priced and over budget though. So all the quirks are fully understandable. :D

I secretly would want to have one though... It a bit like wanting a go on Jordan... Looks unsightly.... But you still would!

And much like having a go on Jordan, I'd be worried I'd catch something if I drove a coupe. :P

No -one even going to mention the OEM rear springs which seem to be made from glass as they just snap so often, my car has gone through 3 sets before i switched to Eibachs

The pimple on the face of perfection that is that horrible plastic tumor on the bottom of the rear view mirror - alarm light I think!?

Not on all models. I have auto dim on the zed, but had to twist the red knob in my E46

So, let me just clarify, you think that twisting your knob will stop you being blinded??? I'm pretty sure that fiddling with your knob is supposed to lead to blindness
