for the most part - no weapons other than tools to gain entry, thanks to the penalties involved
Burglary - slap on the wrist and probation/ community service if you're unlucky
Aggravated Burglary - 2 to 10 years
Burglars are economists too

Yr probably right. Our burglars ain't to bright here. They're usually meth heads looking for something to sell for 10 bucks to get their next hit. Although you never know. You guys still have the right to beat them over the head with a club, right?

Sorry to hear about your burglary. A friend has just suffered the same thing and all they took was jewelry. Easy to pocket and sell. All the iPads, TVs etc left alone

Just found out house round the corner got done just before mine. Nothing taken but lots of entry damage (and therefore noise) brand new 118d on drive. Spoke with owner keys not in house. Clearly car was target.... starting to wonder if I should keep the car if simply having it on your drive makes you a target....... at least they will never get the car as keys will always be out when were out and secure when we are in. All I can do I guess is increase visible security. Maybe I'll park the car on street so they have to guess which house. Jesus this isn't easy.... w@nkers.

Here's hoping, special police office (or whatever they are called) came round yesterday. That morning they got a guy in front garden and another in gardens out the back of a house a couple of mile away, four in total and car matches description my wife gave. Hopefully they have caught them and there is at least two less scum bags out there.

Fingers crossed.

Good News. Got to let the system do it's bit now. Hope they have enough on them to put them away. Sounds like more than a pi**ed up get me home ride they were doing.

Considering they turned over a house down the road before mine, took nothing clearly looking for keys to bmw on drive this was not a pissed up ride home thing.

Sorry to hear this, same thing happened to me a few years ago, looking for the keys.

As long as you are safe thats what matters. Let the insurance deal with the rest.

Its a bummer feeling your privacy/ security invaded like that... But dont let this sacrifice what cars you have. I felt similar to you after my burglary... But upped my security with visible camera's and an alarm which should deter them.

Wow what a shock your wife just have had. Glad to hear no one was hurt.

Reminds me of that scam a year or so ago when thieves had blank BMW keys, doing ODB cloning, and stealing cars right off the drive.

Remember you can't chase after them with a cricket bat to beat em up.
Better to drag them back to the property...and then beat them up, looks more like self defence

Stories like this give me the heebies (in addition to making my blood boil).

Glad losses were minimal and nobody was hurt.

Wahoo, police called me yesterday they have charged a whole gang with my burglary and several others in the area and several people with conspiracy to commit burglary. It was all about stealing high value cars. Sounds like it was the end of long investigation and they have got all of them. They are all on remand and incidents with the same mo in the area have dropped dramatically as a result. :D :D
