Thieving b***ards

It just makes me so angry.

Last night, thieves broke into my garage and stole my bike. They left the children's bikes strewn over the garden and took it upon themselves to open the freezer door and ruin everything in there. As if taking my bike wasn't enough. They even left their crow bar on the grass.

It looks like they came into the garden through at least 3 other gardens as tyre tracks leading from my garage show

What low-lifes exist in this world? We work hard for our posessions and others think they have a right to simply take someone elses property without any thought to the upset it causes.

I'm as much despondent as angry with why people do such things.

Just had to get it off my chest.

Sorry to hear about that mate,

They will get what they deserve in the end

Apparently in this technological age of modern Police techniques, they can't get any prints off the crow bar because it was raining last night, they also can't get any prints off wood. Unbelievable

They did dust the freezer door and found nothing.

How they ever catch criminals is beyond me

When they catch them the courts only give em a slap on the wrist! :x

I'd birch them - The Isle of Man was the last to ban the use of the Birch and I am told there was a rise in crime.
Any coincidence I wonder?

There's simply not enough of a deterrent for these type of crimes.
Really sorry to hear OP.

I feel your pain. I have a car port style area (too small for an actual car, long story) and the bikes were in there chained to hoops on the wall with kryptonite locks. Didn't stop some drugged up kid and a pair of bolt croppers trying to help himself. The locks held but working out what to do in the spur of the moment wasn't easy. He walked out when challenged by my son and the police turned up too late to catch him. Having had one experience of dealing with the aftermath of defending myself and not wanting another similar experience, we decided to let him walk. If he'd become aggressive it would have been a different matter :(

At least a slap on the wrist would be something. Didn't a judge recently commend one such s**t bag on his bravery for burgling a house?

Dragging behind a chariot in the dirt used to work in Roman times, so maybe attaching them to my towbar & a length of webbing strap for a joyride, within the National speed limit of course, may rub some sense into them

:soapbox: I'll tell you whats wrong. Parenting or the lack thereof. In the sixty's everyone started the generation of "ME" "ME" It's all about me. And never changed after they had kids. And of course to keep the lavish life style. Both parents went to work and left the kid sitting in front of the tele all day. No discipline, lavished with gifts to quench the guilt the parents had. We now have a generation of young folk that know no boundaries, have very few moral values, And a justice system that feels sorry for them. If you look behind a bad kid or even a bad adult. You will usually (but not always) find a irresponsible parent. Rant over.

Hmm. Not sure it's all about the sixties, unless you're talking about people born in the sixties having kids now and even then I'm not sure I agree. Bad parenting generates problem kids whatever their vintage.
