Thicker steeringwheel

Hi,
Finaly I got to replace my E85 with an E89:-) Im lovin it!

The only thing I miss is my thich steeringwheel. I have the sportswheel with multibuttons and gearpaddles in black leather, but its to thin. I dont know what steeringwheel I need that fits the airbaig, buttons and gear. I have found these articlenumbers: 32 30 6 792 904 and 32 30 6 792 906. 906 is more expensive and it looks like (in the ETK catalogue) that it has got the same airbag and gearpaddles, but another set of multibuttons (32 30 6 799 745 on 904 vs 32 30 6 799 746 on 906).

So does anyone know witch wheel is the thick one, do I have to replace the buttons, will the paddles fit and will the airbag fit?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, is your new car an M Sport? It will have M sport logo on bottom of the steering wheel.

If not, options are either to get your wheel re covered and thickened up or buy a new M Sport wheel, which is about €600

I have the sport steering wheel but I'm pretty sure it's thinner than other BMW wheels.

My E92 had a really thick steering wheel but I don't think you can fit a 3 series wheel as a straight swap.

I dont have the M sport version. It doesnt have the M sport Logo either.

I really want the thick wheel. I have found the M sport wheel with nr 32307842926. Is that the thick one? Does my buttons on my "mutlifunction steering wheel" fit the M Sport wheel, or do I have to buy this aswell? I do know I need to change the cover at the buttom of the wheel (with the M logo).

I have found one steeringwheel in germany now. It has got heating aswell, but my old wheel doesnt. Is that easy to retrofit on my car then?

A question. This steeringwheel in Germany har got gear paddles, but with - on the left and + on the right. This is not how my present steering wheels work. Today I push forward to gear down and pull to gear up. Will this work without any modifications?

The sport steering wheel on the Z4 is not actually that thick. You might want to check one out in a dealership first.

The sports wheel on other models is a lot thicker.

OK.. Just ordered the M sport wheel from germany at 350 euros. Hope it fits and hope that I can transfer my push/pull gearshifters. This one has +/- shifters.
