Thick white smoke at startup

Hello there. I have thick white smoke at startup for about 30 seconds. Happens intermittently while breaking hard then idle.
Ccv or something else? All advice appreciated.

Could be a failed diaphram in the brake booster, white smoke could well be brake fluid getting into the engine and being burnt off as it gets fluid sucked into the vaccum system, the fact that its happening with use of the brakes would lead me in that direction.

Can you put a longer video on Giphy ? The existing one is very short and hard to judge from. Does the 'smoke' smell of burning or fuel ?

yes, I will post a longer one this evening.

Well eventually it will drain the box and you'll need a new one! There will be a vacuum valve somewhere that has failed. Yes it should smell. Further diagnosis is required though before you go jumping to conclusions.

Here is a link to a longer video

Thank you for any info

Still not a brilliant video. Too much moving about. I'd like to see the cloud floating away in the distance but it looks like steam/water vapour to me. Surely you can tell the difference when looking at it in the flesh ? :?

that's what it seems to be but it is so so much. What will cause it and how to make it go away

The fact the ambient temperature is just over 26 degrees C makes that amount of steam unlikely but it does look like it! It was a very cold dry day then I could believe it more.
You haven’t told us what it smells like.
