These 'rare' E86 Coupes ..................

Went to a hifi shop in Reading today to see about a sound upgrade for mine. Told 'we have one of those in the workshop ' , which was a black 08 plate . Then just seen another black E86 on the A4 in Thatcham , just now ..................
Seen more E86's than Volvo XC40's today and they arent common................
Almost common as muck :D
 
Sometimes I spot a few in a week, sometimes I don't see any for weeks. :?

Also interested in what they offered you (as long as it doesn't involve changing the head unit)

When it got to £2300 for speakers , an amp and a small sub in the boot, life went a bit dizzy :cry:

Its a 1 1/2 days labour for installation too, but yes, more ( s**t loads ) than I was hoping for. I did see Bavsound but wondered about import and duties etc. Went looking on the usual online places for speaker kits , to replace all the fronts and not a lot came up .
Wife nearly passed out on the spot at home, when I showed her :lol:
 
Gotta love an E86! I always tend to see them when I'm not in mine, but never see more than one in a day, unless it's at a meet...

Most companies that you buy from the US will put a lower value in the customs declaration (even if you don't ask), and compared to 2.3k... For around £400 you can retrofit DSP.
 
E86s are rare mate.

During my ownership I saw less than 15 3.0si Coupes and less than 5 M Coupes.

Even during a 2,000 mile road trip through Germany I only saw 1 other 3.0si Coupe and that was by the Nurburgring.
 
I used to see a few around my way a few years ago, but not very often now.

Then again I try to keep away from Reading!
