I've tried one of these. Its an OBDII bluetooth connected to my Android phone. Works well, but not all channels displayed and slows down when logging more than a few channels (maybe a newer phone than a galaxy s could do better?).

Since initial testing it hasn't been used much, maybe it's just initial excitement, then no need to use until you need a diagnostic issue resolving.
 
Ive got something similar that outputs the readings to my Garmin sat nav. It also gives me error codes and resets them.
 
I use a bluetooth elm 323 and a freeware windows mobile app called obd gauge it is quite good reads codes and real time sensor data. Pretty good but abit of a gimmick only really helpful wen you have a problem.
 
This looks cool and Ive always wanted to get something like this and thinking now about a bluetooth type one like these. Although I know nothing about the whole connecting stuff to the car's obd port.

Could someone tell me what wireless dongle I should buy? Which one from the eBay link Stuart Truman linked above? Cheers
 
I had briefly looked at these, but never took it further, so many things I want to do with the car, NavCoder being another.
