There's rust up there!

:cry: -Hi all,after pulling the drain plug off but not having monkey hands to re-attach it :oops: -i have tried removing the bottom 8mm bolt,but it is just turning! :headbang: -but as i gently pulled the plastic cover away from the arch and had a look up with inspection mirror and a torch-it looks quite rusty up there :( -is it too late to spray waxoyl up there?-thanks
 
In my opinion no its never to late to treat with waxoyl as it treats rust, personally I would consider the clear waxoyl. Can't see it doing any harm.
 
Did you take the wheel off?
I don't have particularly small hands and found it easy to locate the drain hole and refit. Try shoving the flap end over the tip of a finger then offering it up that way.... :)

He won't be able to sleep now :D

I have never seen any rust on even the worst maintained Z4s (sorry fellow forum member ;) ), so would be surprised that you would have that.

Exactly, that reminds me where is Saxo boy (that fuel filler was disgusting) :poke:

Andy's car is an 06 at least and with galvanised a body seems very unlikely.

Thanks for the rallying support chaps :) -i tried to take a pic but no good :( -its around a couple of bolts directly above the rectangle cut-out on the flap. :(
