Well not really, but something isnt right, see the video:

So if im putting my windows up, and turn my steering wheel, my windows decide to go back down?

I cant see that this would be a built in function, but I cant see that a lose wire could cause this either, at least not this consistently?

HELP! especially bad with the rain coming and trying to get through barriers without too much rain getting in...

EDIT: I've just realised there is a "problems" subsection  :withstupid:

Nope your car is haunted. Call in to ripleys believe it or not :poke:

As Adamski said the window regulator may be bad. IIRC there is a how-to for resetting the windows which should help you out.

I've reset the windows, they go all the way up no problem if I don't touch the steering, but as soon as I do, it's as though a signal is sent saying auto down?

It's likely due to a spike in the supply to the window control unit caused by the power steering. Might be an earth problem. Sometimes I find that activating one touch closing on one window whilst the other is already closing will cause the first window to open again. It's a characteristic :headbang:

I get this sometimes too - annoying!!!

I see you're only in Birmingham - let me know if you get it sorted, and by whom please :)

I've been meaning to ask about this since I bought my car! Happens all the time - although generally only if I'm using on-touch. Glad it's not just me.

Yep, mine only happens when using 1 touch.

Looks like its time to do some digging, but I'm fairly lazy so could be a while

The other thing to note is that once it's on its way down there's no way of stopping it - I have to wait for it to reach the bottom before putting up again.

I'm also too lazy, if I'd have noticed it in the AUC warranty period I'd have got it fixed, now I just live it with.

How strange!

If you are in bham autotech isnt too far... Maybe call them... Often they advise over the phone for free.

I have a similar thing, sometimes when I open the drivers door the window decides to go down, and then once I've got in and close the door the window goes back up again, very strange. Like it doesn't stop after the courtesy drop ( the small 1cm drop it does when you normally open the door and back up to meet the seal after)

This is normal if you press the unlock button twice, it makes it easier to get in of your in a tight space...
