I'm for anything that gets me trying new things with the camera. Although feeling a little cautious after the Christmas turnout - although a lack of competition did help me to get my first vote though :P

I think something like 'love' as a theme is a little wooly. In motion could be dangerous (well, incriminating) - don't the rules dictate it is your own car and the photo taken by you?

My concern as well. The results of this poll are not binding and consideration will be given to the number participating as well as other factors.

The rules can be modified for a theme but not for who takes the picture. You could for example have someone else driving your car while you take the picture.

Should be interesting to see the results..
I'm just keen to see some differant ideas and pictures and put the imagenation to the test and not just the photoshop skills :?

For those that did not see the post in another thread this thread was created because of a suggestion from Ben.

nuh UH! :telloff:

Just have them pose behind the wheel, keep the keys in your pocket .....

If you have the keys in your pocket then why would you have someone else pose for an in motion shot if they cant drive the car, Minor point i know. :poke:

I need to change my vote. I voted for "in motion" and then realized that I would need to let someone else drive my car to capture it in motion.

Actually a tripod and a wireless remote would do the trick.... :camera:

Yeah great idea... right up to the point where a picture of me driving my Zed into my own camera ends up on Tw*ts do the craziest things!

Well...if you didn't damage the memory card... :P

will having a theme favour the more professional photographer?

:? I think being a professional photographer favours the more professional photographers :P

I'm all for variety to make me try different techniques. I think the non-pros will always be a step behind the pros, no matter what - I suspect even if we had a month with no DSLRs - compacts only. Main thing IMO is to not deter people from entering.
