I normally ensure that the cover is down but on a recent trip down south, when load space was a premium and top-down motorways not much fun, I discovered that a full size brolly sits nicely across the top of the raised cover where it is readily to hand if needed.Maniac said:I don't leave the boot/roof cover in the up position for that very reason. If it is then why not have the boot tray move automatically ? If it's not then iDrive can point out the error of your ways.nthwn you can always get your gym bag or shopping in and out with no issues, assuming you stick the roof up when you're leaving the car. Of course that would introduce one more thing to go wrong... But surely the tech is not that complicated given some of the other clever sh1t that cars do nowadays ?
