Well had to go to B&Q to pick up some bits and bobs, not the most exciting thing to do,

Well here is a guide on how to make it more fun

1) Have a sunny but changeable day
2) Take Z4 to B&Q
3) Drive there with the top up thinking...its sunny should of put the top down
4) After getting back to the car take the risk and put the top down
5) On the way home look up and see your driving into really black clouds
6) Try to get home before it chucks it down
7) Get home with a mist of the windscreen,
8 ) Put the top up before the heavens open

Well I was lucky there but it made the trip more exciting!! :driving:

...and its turned sunny again, dare you take the top off once more 8)

Actually, I'm more interested in what you managed to fit in a Z4 that comes from B&Q. A few nails, a light bulb and a mini screw driver??

I like the idea and the risk for me will be lowered when I invest in a smarttop module shortly!!

Or a week11 build that is suposed to now allow roof up on the move... less than 25 mph I believe

Gauntlet down egh...

In my MK2 MR2 T bar, I have had trellis & 4 metre lengths of 4x2 wedged under the rear spoiler & strapped round the T bar. Better than any roof rack & the looks, priceless, will see if I can find the old pickie I took

No contest!

In my Boxster I managed to get a complete triumph stag convertible top, frame and canvas! Looked like I had a giraffe in the passenger seat!! :happyclap:

 lengths of dowling and a 5 foot house plant during my days of roadster.
Always insist on going to B&Q in the Zed. In the ///M it consists of the following routine...

1/ Drive to B&Q with cold but beautifully burbly engine.
2/ Usually go the long way round.
3/ Park somewhere in sight of the car so I can keep looking back at it on way to store.
4/ Upon exiting B&Q, due to more cars parked up have 2 second panic she's been nicked.
5/ Relief when I see her again, load up for maximum g-force effect ride home.
6/ Drive home like Im in a scene from Fast and Furious.

You forgot point 7 /, where upon exiting B&Q, your car in the far corner is now surrounded by cars laden with kids :poke:

Normally when there is 100s of free spaces between you and the shop

Did the same at ikea.

Did the shop got a large roler cabinet fitted perfect between the seats with the top down in my old model z4. went back to get a few hot dogs and it began to rain.

after downing the hotdogs ran back to the car and mopped the seats (note keep a few towels in the boot for wet seats) and started to drive. Once moving you dont get wet until you stop so thought petrol station as an excuse, its undercover. A police officer thought it was funny, we were having a ice cream sitting under cover in a pertol station. We waited for a bit until the rain subsided and moved on keeping moving to reduce the rain entering the car. I had covered the box so it was ok and was air drying.

Got back dry ish but fun.
