The youth of today

My dear lady and I went to Beaconsfield last night. Pulled up at a zebra crossing and a few young lads, obviously had one too many, danced across. Stopped in front of the car, danced a bit more, gave me the finger and then danced off!

Not quite what I would expect in the leafy shires...

I had that happen to me a few year ago in the NE Philadelphia area. When he flashed his IQ at me I hit the horn and being right in front of my car it scared the lad so bad he almost lost his balance and fell down.

I grew up in Beaconsfield, and that kind of behaviour is not atypical. There are turds in every town, and every stratum of society.
Were you terribly surprised or even that offended?

Surprised yes, but only because the street we were down was wall to wall prestige cars. Offended not really.

maybe its a result of too much tv, i blame it on bruce forsyth and strictly come dancing

I've rarely found a wealthy family and expensive education sufficient to make for a decent human being in the absence of proper parenting, often the contrary.

However, I do find the briefest of dabs with the right foot and lifting the clutch just a little is almost always sufficient to clear the road of such annoyances! :D
