The Yellow One

Love it :) crying out for the alu trim to be painted or wrapped black ( or black carbon ?) & just like previous forum member "Dewi" did with his PY i would have those alloys black before the week was out

Definitely agree with taking those wheels darker. Get some black grills too to carry the theme through...

Whats with the black tape under the filler cap ??

That will be a stone chip protector, to protect the paint work from grit and gravel flying up from the wide front wheels protruding from the front arch.

The Austin Montego's used to have them in the same place.
Practical I suppose but a real eyesore on what is a good looking car.

The Montego wasn't all that good looking...

Maybe not, but my MG Maestro was a stunner (then I woke up).

OP's car looks fantastic as it is - I wouldn't smother it in blackness personally, but whatever he does it is a rarity! So long as he likes the results, that is fine by me!

The 2-tone seats make it really special for me - combination of PY and that interior is really special!

Enjoy OP. :driving:

Thanks for all your comments.

Cheers for the Pics of Dewies PY and black wheels, food for thought perhaps.

Trouble is the wheels are mint condition having been refurbed before I purchased the car. And well spotted the lack of M badges on the wheels...I've just bought some and they are in an envelope waiting to be fitted. :)

Loving the car, excellent economy and performance. :driving:

I also ran a can of injector cleaner through a tank, perhaps snake oil, perhaps mystic meg. I'm sure there various opinions. The 5th Gear video was interesting.

Unless you bought the genuine ///M wheel decals at £20 don't rely simply on the self adhesive :( add a dab of superglue to the centre of the pad  + depending which ones you bought you may find they need trimming
