The wait is (almost) over

Yeh I know that’s what I meant, sorry I didn't make myself clear.
The 'sound generator' noise comes through the speakers, apparently!! Although, as I said I can't hear anything at all there.
 
I'm sure someone on here (maybe maniac, not sure) said that there's a sound generator on the E89 that comes though the speakers!!

I'm not conviced there is though as I said there's no mention of one in the maual and i deffo can't hear anything through my speakers. :|
 
I'm sure there isn't. There's been debate about the whine noise that sounds like its coming out of the speakers a second after the accelerator's been pressed then goes on power off. I think its turbo whine and not electronically generated.
 
Update, car went back to dealer this morning, the problem is the rear amp is faulty. there is a world wide back order on these amps and it's going to take a few weeks to get a replacement. Apparantly these are new amps in LCI models so older amp will not work.

Dealer has disconected rear amp so at least nothing will come out of rear speakers to disrupt the driving expirence. Probably means no subs either!

Annoyed that I won't have the full car I ordered for another few weeks. I guess I'll just have to listen to the exhaulst note for a while until they fix it.
