Purchased my BMW about a month ago with 20,800 miles on it for $20,000 USD with the total package except for navagation system. This car was new condition. Nearly perfect everywhere except the front end. It was a model car for a dealership that was owned by an old man that wanted it as his last dying wish before dying of cancer 6 months later. Bought the car off his son, with the expectation that the only thing wrong was the front end bracket broken from his wife going up over a parking block and a spider cracking 3rd brake light.

Brought it home...registered the car....Car came back saying it had 60K on the clock when title said 20k.....which was wrong. Had to deal with the hassel of getting the registration corrected to show the actual milage because someone made a mistake...

Took the car in for inspection...Failed... front tires treads wearing on the outside..needless to say i checked the inside and they were good when purchasing didn't think the outside looked bad. No tread bars visable... Whatever...I replaced those no problem. Scheduled a wheel alignment to deal with the uneven tread wear.

A few days later I find the 3rd brake light was spider cracking. When I put the trunk down, it just broke off hanging there. Cheap to fix. DIY. Thanks for the guides on here everyone!!

Week or two later...Two rocks hit my windshield and 1 puts enough of a dent to have it fixed by glass repair. Repairman screwed up and turned a small chip into a 2 inch crack. Said it was good and garenteed it wouldn't crack further.

Week or two later...I'm coming out of work and hear this clicking on my back RF tire which is brand new. It has a large screw lodged in it. Found a place willing to plug it.....Thank god! Never said a word about it being a RF.

Which bring me to today...I walked outside today started my car ran the windshield wipers to get the dew off with a 30 inch crack across my whole windshield. Called to get it repaired tomorrow.

All these repairs, DIY, and cheap fixes have managed to only cost me around $1,000 USD. The majority of the cost not even involved with buying a bad product but merely bad luck.

Still a great deal and one badass car for a 25 year old. I don't think I would give this up for anything and I'm already drooling over the 2011 Z4's. But I am running out of money and I hope my bad luck streak stops soon.

*EDIT will post pictures shortly.....(if it ever gets out of the shop :headbang: )

Sounds like you've had a hard time mate. Hope it's all good from here on in....

Look forward to seeing some pics :poke:

Oh, and welcome to forum.

Bad luck with all the issues. Nothing compared to the list I've had with mine though, lol. I've spent a small fortune putting things right that should have been sorted by the dealer. I won't be buying another car from Edgely Park in Eye that's for sure! Luckily I seem to finally have everything sorted and she's been problem free for a few months now (touch wood), apart from a small leak when it rains really hard.
