Beggar with manadatory paper cup in left hand rattling 2 tiny coins ..... and paupered look on face "please give me money I'm starving" kind of thing ......
whilst texting on IPhone 4 in right hand .....

you get a better class of tramp these days .....

Did you see him close to home in Edinburgh? There was one who used to sit by the cash machines in Bruntsfield and wait for you to take cash out, then ask "got any spare change?"

When ever I am asked this by a beggar I always ask them to " define " spare change, Most will either retort with a short abusive out burst or gesture, or what is more common is a blank stare with a "EH!"
Only once have I ever given when faced with a very eloquent and well spoken beggar who retorted " Spare change, Loose coinage on your person that if given away or lost you would not be upset about, and the reason you should give it to me is if you lost 20p it wouldn't bother you, If I lost 20p it would be devastating" He got a fiver.
