That sounds good and is a possibility for me to join in, I will try to free up the afternoon

Hi guys, my Z4 got a clean(ish) bill of health at TWG this week (after the amber EML!) so I may even get out of bed early for the run around Sussex! But I'd still be up for a trundle after, because by that time of day it's never going to be a blast!

But the best bit has to be meeting local Z4 enthusiasts!

Glad to hear your Zed is sorted Mr Tidy. I know it's an early start but will be a good drive & hopefully we will encounter very little traffic. If you can make it which meeting point is best for you?

Wish I could take part in this, but an amber EML came back on a week after the diagnosis. :(

Took it to TWG again last week and got it cleared, but it is booked in for an inlet cam Vanos solenoid replacement on Monday, so I don't want to push my luck!

Will be at Newlands Corner though!

It's only a bit of water! I'll be there. Think darkangleV2 will too.

Car is clean within reason as I know it'll get dirty on the way there.

These cars aren't fords from the 70's so a little water won't hurt :driving: :D

I'm still keen on going guys, maybe we could meet about 10am to give the weather a chance to iron itself out. I appreciate it's not idea.

Right you lot.....the weather has cleared up for tomorrow so I expect all members (who can) to come. No excuses. :D

I've got to leave at 6:30am to get to Petworth for 8am then on to Newlands for 9. So come on, let's show the lotus boys we're not afraid of a little rain!

It's pissing down currently
Will be pulling my attendance from tomorrow morning, JuniorJet has also cancelled due to weather.

Real shame but I am pulling, just looked out the window. Even worse that there is no real cover at Newlands, so posted on the Newlands thread whether anyone can make next Sunday instead.

It's been a bit quiet on this thread and the group chat... Now we have 18-19 members is anyone up for "hosting a hoon" over the next couple of weeks? :)

I was planning to SORN the Porsche at the end of the month, have not used it for a few months and with the frost setting in, don't think I will for a bit.

X5 on winter tyres? 8)

No worries pvr. I was looking forward to seeing the 911! I'll wait to the New Year

Re: X5..why not? Funny enough I went to pick up my fathers new X5 from Barons today. The prep was truly shocking for a brand new car (I am a little OCD with my cars but still..). Made me chuckle seeing the Sales guy in the presentation area flapping around with his microfibre cloth trying to buff out Holograms, "A-Glaze" leftover polish and the tyre fitting paste on the alloys.

Are you down for the Pistonheads Goodwood event in a couple of weeks?

Yep thinking about attending Goodwood but was thinking more along the lines of a local spin with as many of the club members as possible? Perhaps it's the time of year...

stumbled on this topic.. turns out i too have a z4 and live in reading!

i work days and nights so notice helps me out with being available. probably wouldnt attent full wet meets however as i run the car on nankang NS-2R tyres which i might add... are hopless in any sort of wet.

would be good to meet up with other bmw owners and compare notes.

Kris.

I can't remember who the ringleader of the WhatsApp group is but I'm sure they'll add you to the list so you'll have a heads up on future hoons :)

Ns2-Rs you say..... What's the rest of the spec on your car? Sounds fruity!

No pressure Ed - but we would have made double-digit numbers last month at Newlands Corner if you had been there!

And another local forum member has had a Quaife LSD fitted to his E86 by Birds as he does track days too - but you weren't there to find out who!

I've been to see Will at TWG three times lately (ouch) and he suggested I needed to point this out!

Hope you can make it in January (3rd Sunday, so the 15th) for the next Newlands Corner meet!

Just saw this thread!
I've got a 3.0i roadster, based in Guildford, but am swapping to a coupe when I get back from Australia in March
Am away until then. Miss the amazing english winter weather ;)

If the whatsapp group is still running that would be handy. I missed the last newlands meet, found the chat confusing the night before weather it was a go or not.
