The Superbowl.

Anyone staying up to watch the razzmatazz and who are you rooting for? :yu:

(This could well be a non replied to post... )

Didn't know it was on - just tuned into BBC1. I won't make it past the National Anthem. Used to watch all the Super Bowls in the early days of UK coverage - I remember watching the star QB Dan Marino (Miami Dolphins IIRC). Enjoy John

Too bad about the time difference between North America and UK; it was on at a reasonable 6:30 PM here, and was a fantastic game - possibly the best ever. Atlanta led by a vast amount (28 to 3) and it looked like it was going to be a rout. Then the New England quarterback started living up to the hype, and the Patriots came back to tie the game in the dying seconds to force sudden death overtime. And also to march down the field to win the first Superbowl game ever to go into overtime. Tom Brady becomes the first quarterback ever to win FIVE Superbowl games.

Yep I'm glad I stuck it out until 4am, what a comeback as you say, I thought NE we're dead and buried, everything seemed to be going the Patriots way. To do all that in the 4th quarter and force overtime is remarkable, can you imagine how Patriot fans feel, the game sewn up by some margin then...bam, Brady pulls it out of the hat at last knockings. He remains the most valuable player in the NFL. Cracking stuff for the neutrals.

Yep - stayed up until the end of the 3rd quarter and then thought 'Well this is a walkover, might as well go to bed'

Couldn't believe the news the next morning!!!! :o :o :o :o

Sounds like a great game, I actually watched the first quarter and turned in as it was 0 - 0 :(

Highlights here for anyone who missed it:

I couldn't watch because I had a very early start this morning to head to London but what a game! Sounded like the best ever to me (and I've watched nearly all of them since 1982).

Tom Brady must have a legitimate claim to be the greatest ever now, even more than Joe Montana.
