...So no matter how proud or how ashamed of your stubby we want to see them in all their glory. So show us your "Stubby" with as much detail as possible, where and when it was purchased, how much it was, good or bad AM reception etc. etc.
What's AM?? :poke:

Haha...it's the thing that talks to me every morning with amazing facts about mainly football :fuelfire:

Honestly is there no drop in reception? I listen to the radio a lot and one thing I'm loving over my Elise is the radio reception.

When I'm driving to remote areas (lake district etc) the stubby does make the DAB suffer... switching to the normal antenna sorts it out, but to be honest, its very rare its an issue.

Mine cost £4.50 + £1 postage off ebay, from 'citworld' who seemed to be a Pug/Citroen dealer who was selling his parts online.

I still wonder in this day and age why we need these protrusions at all... My last car was a TT and it didn't have any external aerial and the signal was great.

Exactly - just look (if you could) at the TV aerial which is built on the inside of the rear bumper

Easy for people to spot, rob and then flog on eBay and the dealer has to provide a new one! haha! I know its not true but what a conspiracy theory!

I'll take your conspiracy theory and raise you a "what if it is the dealers themselves that are stealing them and selling them back to those who have had them nicked?"

My 3 series had the aerial in the rear wind screen, 3 horizontal lines IIRC

Could easily be built in to the bodywork I guess.... :?

I went for the Fiat stubby as I wanted to get the rubberised look to match the base. The BMW one just didnt look right to me. Cheap mods rule

Personally I'd tick the box to remove the aerial along with the radio if it were my choice... just give me something to connect the iphone to and I'm happy

Someone or something has snapped my stubby :x

srhutch - is yours the 2.4 inch one, and is it rubber or solid ? Don't really want to go smaller...

And the GPS and the phone don't use this antenna, right ?
