The Stubby!!!

While watching the clock, I get bored just waiting for the phone call to tell me it is at the dealers...don't expect that call until mid April by the way.

Anyhow my first purchase is going to be a "stubby" so I have been reading up on the huge subject that is "The Stubby" I have realised that much of the stubby detail out there is spread over a large number of posts. I have read horror stories about stubbie's that just don't look right, just don't fit quite right, some are not stubby enough while others are too stubby. I have even read that some forms of genetic DNA type experiments have been performed grafting stubbie's off Citroens and Peugeots onto Z4's...

So no matter how proud or how ashamed of your stubby we want to see them in all their glory. So show us your "Stubby" with as much detail as possible, where and when it was purchased, how much it was, good or bad AM reception etc. etc.

I'll be watching this with interest as I think this will be one of my first mods, along with white bulbs for the angel eyes...

Purchased jan 2011,Chandlers BMW Worthing and i think it was £16.50.Sadly Stubby has snapped and is very floppy so i've got to buy a new one.I don't listen to the radio so can't comment on reception but it looks a lot better than the abomination the car came with.

I have a citroen stubby (purchased from citroen main dealer bout £6, reception seems good, as good as oem anyway

My stubby, same as above - OEM, pure DNA 'sports antenna' from the BMW eBay shop, £22.50 delivered IIRC, approx 10.5cm - so at the Gigantor end of the stubby scale - reception is just fine

The Mangowalk Stubby

That's my only complaint about mine - the *miniscule* difference in size... But I couldn't find it when looking for one :o

Oh - it's probably just the angle, but that is a very erect stubby Mr Hutch :D

Wow thanks for all the responses folks...some very different products  see how I am not descending in to childish humour about it being cold and the size of your protrusion etc. saying that, if I had one the size of srhutch's I wouldn't get in the showers with the big boys  That Mangowalk is definitely stubby.

So far for me it is the OEM units as seen in the lovely rear end shot from Bing and close-up by TitanTim...Gorgeous looking Z3 Tim 8)

I think srhutch's problem is that the cold shower has shrunk it
