Another good source

i had a 1 series with standard sound and found just adding the tweeters helped a lot I just bought the bmws ones from the parts shop not too expensive and the e89 already has the housings

I'm not sure why people think the suspension is rock hard - I have the 2.5si Sport and don't find the ride terrible. But, I'm running 17" (not RFT's) so maybe they have a higher sidewall and more 'cushion'?.
What colour is your Zed? Trying to see if it's the same as mine (416 - CarbonBlack) or the Ruby or Sapphire black. Beautiful combination with the Red/Black, especially as they are the colours of my Province (Canterbury).
Congrats on the new ride

. . .

Well ride feel is obviously subjective, but I think I can compare Sports suspension with SE suspension in a way very few can:
Basically I was driving a E85 M Sport spec roadster on M Sport 18" non run flats, and then traded the car for an E85 SE spec roadster. The new car was on 17" run flats so as part of the deal I negotiated swapping my original M Sport 18" non run flats onto the new SE spec car.
So basically I am comparing M Sports suspension with SE suspension using identical wheels and tyres.

Run flats on these are never a good move. They crash and bang into everything and it's a topic that's been discussed many times. Your car is 50% there but get rid of the other two ASAP and I am sure you will notice a difference.

As for the ride, well as you've for the sport suspension I'm afraid that's about it. You do get used to it though, it's just a shame our roads are so awful.

My car only opens the boot when the car is unlocked so perhaps that's what you're experiencing.

Love the classic black and red combo!

Agree and for me run flats aren't a good idea on any car and I have swapped to normal tyres on the 6 series and its a night and day difference, bottom line for me is BMW don't fit Run Flats to any of their proper M cars so that really tells you all you need to know and I am sure BMW don't really rate Run Flats either because if they did surely they would put them on all their cars.

In saying that I wasn't that keen on the ride on my Z4M on normal tyres so the Zed can be pretty unforgiving anyhow.

Havent been a Zed owner for long myself and didnt know there was a sports version only an SE or SI

You're confusing engine specification & trim levels. On non-M cars they're as follows.

Engine: i or si
Trim: SE or Sport

E.g. 3.0si Sport ... or ... 2.5i SE

:)

Thanks! Well, the dealer described it as Jet Black but I doubt that is the official description. It's non-metallic black, which should narrow it down a bit. I've had it a week and it now looks nothing like the photos. Just Dirty Black.

I've Avon ZZ5 non-RFTs on the back but the Bridgestone RFTs on the front will go this week and be replaced by Rainsport 3s. I'm hoping for some improvement. It's hard work battling with the steering on the motorway the whole time.
