Magnesium

Lol what's funny about magnesium?

LIGHTWEIGHT MAGNESIUM

There not magnesium, there not even that light. If they were magnesium they'd be a damn sight more expensive.

They may have magnesium content but to call them lightweight magnesium alloys is a little off the mark IMO.

yeah after i replied i realised what you were trying to get at...

not sure what the content is actually? probably under 5%? Not sure how anyone could deal with the hassle of genuine mag wheels unless the car never sees the road, or rain

wouldn,t you miss the magnesium content ? 8)

They would look the part on a silver grey M  Get them delivered to a friend's house before sorting the tyres & the wife probably would,nt even notice

i def think gunmetal/black look the bizz on grey cars...

def a good idea r.e the delivery :P

im guessing if these cost 510 ish, i could probably sell my 224's for about half that....so all in all its not that expensive...

orrrrr even better, use the 224's as winter wheels, whap some winter tyres on and tell the mrs im thinking "safety first" and not using summer tyres in the snow.. :driving: :driving:

I don,t mind digging in here & helping you out  I will take your 224,s for the half just to help you realise your dream

ha! unfortunately the tyres on the car are still pretty decent

and i dont have 1500 for the new wheels and some PSS yet

Set of good quality gunmetal reps and deck out with four corners of premium rubber for around a grand. Would look lovely on your silver grey.

Woots , a decent set of 224,s with good rubber is worth £600 /£700 so you are over halfway there

im going to stop talking to you now...

tbh when im in a position to buy...the tyres will prob be shot...and the rims caked in salt from winter

but im not sure how much 224's are worth that may need a refurb and new tyres....maybe 1/3 cost of the reps and new tyres

Dooo it! Just got mine done in dark anthracite, love the look:

I just finished off the last of the Jack Daniels Honey and am about to hit the last of my Bushmill's single malt with a fridge cold Curly Wurly.
