The other Zed on 5th Gear (370)

Did anyone else watch Tiff's review of the Nissan 370Z? It was rather glowing, as have other reviews from Evo / Drivers republic etc.

I very nearly got a 350Z when I was shopping for the Z4m, but my other half vetoed it. The 370Z, however, passes the SWMBO test!

In terms of price, it looks like a bit of a bargain. About £30k for a GT pack. And that rev control gadget, awesome. :driving:

Anyone know when they're due out? I might have to arrange a test drive.......

I did persevere to watch the 370Z review and it does look good, and gets very good reviews :D

They delayed launch I believe because of the current economic climate :o Think it is now due later in the year :D

And yet they released the £55k GT-R. Next to the new Z4, the 370Z looks like a massive performance bargain.

maybe that's why they delayed it - so not to interfere with GT-R sales... though I would've thought its a completely different market :?

Def looks like a nice option these days. IIRC it's lost about 55kg too making it even quicker and combined with auto blip in sport mode has got to be a lot of fun.

Sticking to my roadster though :) 23c here today, sun out, roof down and finding trivial excuses to go out in it.

Specs from Nissan website:

3.7l V6. 331 PS @ 7,000rpm Continuously variable valve timing
366Nm @ 5,200rpm
6 speed manual + LSD
18" Alloys with 225 front 245 rear or 19" Rays with 245 front 275 rear
4 piston front and 2 piston rear calipers
Starter button, auto wipers, bluetooth 'phone, tyre pressure sensors.

Tempting....

They look lovely - very much like a baby GTR. Seems they have enhanced the car rather than spoiled it. Could do with a few more ponies though ... Middlehurst Motorsport (I think) used to offer a Supercharger conversion for the 350Z... I wonder.

There was one parked up at Royal Ascot the other day with a GTR, both were very, very nice

Hopefully there'll be one at Goodwood I can sniff around. I'll post up some pictures if I remember.

Yes, can't fault it really. It's my company car, so it makes a very cheap (but fun) car in terms of tax.

Not that keen on it from the back.

Like the front and interior though!

Now all they need to do is make one without a roof... might make it look a bit nicer from the back, for me :)

Spotted a white 370 on the back of a transporter the other day on the motorway. It sure did look good (compared to the Micras).
