After a long 12 Months wait

Practice days have already started going to get down for a couple of days - anyone else going, anyone else parking on the sofa for the whole 4 days non stop Golf

had two great days at Castle Stuart watching the Scottish Open - glad to see Mickleson win it -its good for the scottish open when a major winner wins it

I'm not coming up this year. I went to Muirfield the last time it was held there. I have to say it is one of the most beautiful golf courses I've ever been to. I'd love to play a round there. I can remember last time it destroyed Tiger Woods on the Saturday when the wind and rain came in. The weather this year though looks much warmer. Those greens will get tricky and the rough is apparently pretty severe, so combined with dry, hard fairways, straightness off the tee will be even more important than it usually is!

I shall be sofa bound for much of the weekend I think!

cant have been too far away OG that day I was in the 18th Grandstands when Els won it on a very late tie-breaker then spent hours getting out in a Pug 306 XSi which decided to overheat on the way out .

Agreed on the course it is the prettiest open venue I've visited although I've not been to Turnberry

From memory its a bit bumpy - so go in slow - leaving mine at home

Preview Program on BBC tonight - it starts here

It's a little known fact that there are more women only golf clubs than there are men only ones.

The PC brigade don't like to publicise that though!

Might see you Sunday if you're there. Just a few things to reschedule, but should be ok.

Weather is looking good 8-)
