The Numb-Nuts at UK Assist

So, back from 5 weeks in Aus' (did I tell you I was in Aus"?) My car was on my sons driveway where it had ben since delivery from UK Assist after accident repair.

Today was the first chance I had to inspect it and drive it. There is an ugly paint run which escaped their quality control scrutiny. Not good enough, and their ears will be torched down the phone first thing on the morrow. They shouldn't mess with a guy who had his head sucked by a leech, and survived being caught in the wait awhile tree.

In addition, my radio will not turn off except by turning ignition off. When you press the off/volume button it changes to display fuel data! How weird.

The battery had drained whilst I was away, but jump started at first turn.

The radio may be related to the drained battery, as symptoms are really weird when the battery is dead. I would ignore that for now until the battery is fully charged.

You went to Aus ... you don't say, we never knew ... :D

Mind you, the dead battery cleared the airbag warning light from when I dis/re=connected battery to put in DICE!

Considering it had not been used for 5 weeks (and after I jumped it) it drove really well. Not a cough, fart or splutter. Even the door mirror spiders seemed to enjoy the ride.
