I dont know why the calendar isnt made of this years months winners?
Because they have been the best of the year right!? Add decembers winner from last year and its golden?
Otherwise were going to have a calendar of november pics... Or a thread of pics taken over the year that have already been entered into the photo comp.

There are some exceptional photographers on here, yourself included. If we did what you suggest then half the calendar would be made up of three cars. Much as I love your and Jackers' and Markos' photography I wouldn't buy it. I would like to see 12 different Zs in the calendar - this way gives people who have taken great shots (but who don't have professional skills) a chance. We didn't have a calendar of November pics last year, and why not enter photos that have been entered before ? We get three votes this time, not one - more chance that the runners up get a place, for example.

You've nailed it Bing. When I organised last years calendar there were the same calls for using the monthly winners. It was felt at the time that it wasnt fair and that opening up the competition to all meant that people could enter that perhaps previously hadn't or wanted to post that image they took a few months ago that they never go around to posting. It was also designed to add some healthy competition and a dream to those that maybe don't have all the kit or felt they missed out one month - something that proved positive during the final voting selection as you'll see on this years calendar. A month of Novembers will never happen as entrants tend to pick a photo they're proud of rather than taken this month. What I did was divide those winners up into months of the year (roughly) which works out really well (snow shots top and tail of year, sunshine middle, graveyard October etc). It's a lot of work and will never be right for all but it is the fairest way, trust me. Remember, it's the forum that votes
Speaking of which, I missed out last year and my entry this year was taken back in June on my iPhone so I'm hoping I get at least 1 vote. Can you imagine working on 120+ calendars, designing, fending off emails, chasing for money, sending out before Christmas and NOT featuring in the calendar itself?! :lol:

Finding a photo location can be a right chore when you live in London so i dedicated a day in summer just gone to driving out of town. Got to the coast and found a shipyard which had some nice rugged backdrops.
One thing i've learnt is how much better the roadster looks with its windows down. A window up roof down picture just doesnt do it justice.
