the new cayman/boxster GT4

Collecting the GTS has been delayed a week after the car was involved in a slight fender bender. ( nothing to do with me BTW)

However interestingly the sutton dealer announced they are moving to wolverhampton to a new "MEGA" OPc.... apparently second largest in the UK.

Blimey that's a bold move relocating from wealthy Sutton Coldfield to Beirut...err I mean Wolverhampton.

As an old boss of mine once said "there's world class and then there's wolverhampton class"!

i didn't quite understand the move tbh but was assured they will happily collect my car for servicing and are very keen to keep the sutton using their new dealership.

So you're buying a GTS then?

Can you get an GT4 aero kit for it, like the 911 GT kits?

Also super tempted by the GT4 - but i think they're pretty much sold out for the next 6 months+, or longer. They will go the way of the 1M for sure, even the GT3's are appreciating .. you can't buy them cheaper second hand than new!

Beedub you're buying a GTS?

I'm wondering if you can stick the power kit on the GT4.. :o

No. The GTS is not the car i want, I've just been given one for the day to tr y and tempt me into it......

when i say "my Car" i mean my new cayenne Diesel sport thats been in and out recently for service and warranty work. The car i want but can't stretch too is the GT4. so I'm biding time and hoping they will drop ALITTLE so i can jump into one within 12 months, The dealer is trying to say "the guts is all you ever need" so heres one for the day, I'm not going to pass that up !! lol. But no the GTS for me wouldnt be a sensible move, just not enough power.

So now we've decided you are buying it - what colour?

No no sorry guys I'm clearly sending mixed messages, i will not be buying a GTS. its NOT the car i want, either the GT4 or upcoming spyder. i REALLY want the GT4, then keep for another 10 years.

Soooo confused. Thought you had a Focus?

I think the new Cayman GT4 will be an amazing car to own, it will drive flawlessly and i wouldn’t expect it to drop in value much either due to the rarity of it

i currently have new ST fiesta, Z4m and a new model Porsche cayenne diesel sport model. ( company car)

What company provides Cayennes as company cars?! awesome. I mean, i'd not buy it myself, but if it were free...(ish)

Family business.... certain little perks come with working for yourself  I can't remember the last time i paid car insurance for example. Very rarely do i pay for fuel either.

Ah brill. good times!

Are they a good deal on the company leasehire then? My dad's new 'company' car is a Tesla...

Pretty sure as soon as i start contracting i'm going to require a 991 GT3 daily driver to commute to the station in. Yep, Pretty sure.

If you have a Cayenne, then sell the Fiesta and put the money towards a GT4? Can't think what roll a Fiesta plays in that fleet. Cayenne for family and work duties, Z4M/GT4 for play..

You will get raped in BIK, company cars tax etc. I'm a contractor and use my Z4m, but I personally own it, not my limited company!

oh really. love a bit of tax rape.

maybe better to redirect the 'tax benefits' of being a contractor towards personal ownership then.
