the need for speed

if your m is'nt a daily driver, how many days on average does it take for that" need to get the m out "feeling gets too strong and you have to go for a blast ?
how long can you wait for dry roads before you say , wet or not I'm going out anyway ?a week is long enough for me, a month and I would seriously consider rain too !! :driving:

Ive done 800 miles since september 8th when I got it.... planning some driving weekends away for the summer. Wales and scottish highlands as well as around cumbria where my dads holiday place is.

Finding time to drive it is proving more difficult than I would like. I get the bug after about a week of a normal car and spend the next month finding the time!

Mines a weekend toy but has done 1000 miles since January when I picked her up. Sadly I've just learned i'll have to use her for work tomorrow. Oh woe is me :D

Mine's a weekend toy, but does more miles than my daily driver. Different kind of miles though. Ave MPG of 19.2 gives a clue as to how she is driven. :driving:

Mind you my daily driver is still fun to drive, especially in the wet. So I have no trouble leaving the MR in the garage when it's raining. :o

I drive a barge through the centre of London every day on my commute. The complete antithesis of my ///M as it is an automatic Merc ML, big and wafty. That means I get the urge quite often for a blast, but manage no more than once a week at most. I've gone six weeks before without taking the ///M out but then had to do a 4,500 mile road trip across Europe to make up for it.

Mines a DD but if ive mad no plans to go out i will either wash it....or if its really sunny i ll go for a random drive...

Or suddenly run out of milk that i must buy from a shop 10 miles away rather than walk down to the newsagents..

Mine's my daily drive, but that doesn't mean I don't see a cold & sunny morning as a prod to get into the hills & valleys of Wales.

The daily drive isn't the same as a weekend hoon - although I do sometimes divert off the motorway on the way home to cover the last 100 miles on smaller/twistier A & B roads through Wales.

2000-2500 miles a month seems reasonable enough to keep the car in top form :P

i got local council winter grittnig twitter page up and was checking when that nonsense will be finally over ... seems a bit over the top... I mean gritting dry roads ???
It was a long wait this year , indeed.
