Just picked up my new z4 and pussy drove back home in the shite weather conditions, parked it up on the drive and all im able do now is sit and look at it.

I cant get it back out of the drive if I wanted to which I dont in a sense after an arse clenching ride home from the garage, nearly dropped it on a roundabout when I was only doing about 15mph (changed my underwear now though).

Think the car is ace by the way but the reason im dissapointed is I wasnt able to open it up even on the motorway so ive no idea how quick it is and it dosnt look like im gonna have chance to find out this side of 2011

Roll on spring time

Frustrating to not be able to get out in a new toy.
Stiil - better safe than sorry until you get familiar with it.

pussy drive it to a local open ground car park late at night and whilst it is empty...........do some doughnuts!

No dont worry, I cant afford to break my new toy so its just gonna have to sit where it is for the mo, im not gonna be able to sleep until this ice thaws though. Suppose it gives me time to sort a couple of bits.

I was gonna check the drain holes for the roof for a start, is there a how to on this?

Can anybody suggest any other checks like that, that I may need to look at?

Mine has been parked for over 4 weeks only 3-4 days of driving so far since beginning of this month. cant see doing more.
shows us ur car- get some pics on.

I hope my wait isnt going to be as long as yours :o

I will get some pics on as soon as I can, I need to learn how to do it first though :D

Well I am sure it will be worth the wait, oh yes show ya pics

Been there, done that and I feel for you...

I had mine for two days before the Canadian winter shut me down in November '09.

Get a trickle charger on it so you don't get really PO'd next spring....

Thanks for the advise mcbeee, but to be honest the winters here are prob a bit limp wristed compared to yours. Hopefully the cold weather wont last too long.

I wouldn't bet on that this year, I saw some of the pics that were posted here of the snow you folks got recently...... that was a lot of snow, anywhere !!
But you're right, it will all melt soon and you'll be out burning the tires off that new Zed in no time, you lucky sod....

Merry Xmas

Bought mine last month and used it most days mate.

The right tyres make it perfectly usable unless the weather is really bad.

Im in the same boat, just driven it home but scared to take it back out until the snow clears :(

lol why would a 2.0 make any difference?

I TOOK MINE OUT THE GARAGE YESTERDAY JUST TO WARM IT UP AND TURN IT ROUND CAUSE I WANTED TO CHANGE THE OIL , I HAD CLEARED MY DRIVE BUT NOT THE ROAD DID NT THINK I WAS GOING TO GET IT BACK IN ! Z4 + SNOW = NOT GOOD :D

Been out in the z now the roads are better :driving: and i have to say i love it

Ive done 3 tanks of fuel already and ive only owned it a week :P

I will get some pics up soon
