following two whilst being pursued by an Alpina up Hartside was epic

I just had you three Ms and an alpina in front of me, absolute eargasm!

As for debadging, love it, go for it!

Debadge looks good JDM

I think if you wanted the plastidip to stay on you would need to take it off and coat the badge in it's entirety anyway, so that there are no edges for water / air to get underneath.

I like the clean look too but I also liked the black rings so I am not much help!

Yeah, I like them too. Another option could be some matt black spray paint. That'll be more durable.

Would this work?

Hi Spectre

Thanks for that.

I had seen those initially but decided the plastidip route incase I didn't like the look. If I decide to keep the badge on the back then I will look at buying the badges as per your link.

As for the front I cant figure out how to take off the badge on the front grille. Apparently they just click into place but for the life of me I cant get them off without fear of damaging the grille.

Not sure whether to get the badgeless front grille and de-badge the back or just buy the black ones and try figure out how to remove the front ones.. People oven on the TT Forum aren't much help either. :headbang:

Paza had a TT, but I think it was the previous gen. Maybe he has some tips ?

Cheers guys.

Trouble is I would have to take the badge off the back to paint it and then I wouldn't be able to stick it back on. I had considered doing this before painting them insitu. Only way would be to buy another badge to spray before I put it on and then It was just costing me more money for something which I didn't know I was going to like or not.... So bloody complicated :headbang:

I do like the de-badged look but not sure if its too Euro for my liking... Hmmmmmmm :|

DannyboyZ4 has a TT now aswell so might badger him and see if he knows.

Okay I'm going to say that I much prefer the black badged variant than no badges at all on the back

I think they do clip out from behind but are a bit of a PITA.

Have you pm'd redscouse over on the TT forum?

He had some pictures of his (black Tdi) with the R8 style rings on the bonet and it looked pretty good.

As I know nothing about TTs I had to go back to the beginning of the thread

It's going to look better on yours than on the black one - nice

 Thanks Bing...

I hope that its going to look a bit meaner from the front and match the de-badged rear :)

Hi guys,

So I decided to go for the fk automotive grille as I wasn't overly impressed with the plastidip rings.

After much sweating about removing the bumper I went for it with help from the father in law.

Have to say I love the look of it and think when the private plates on it will just finish it off. It's such a shame we have to put numberplates on the front in the uk. Looks so much better without!!

Anyway here are a few pics
