The metal clunking noise, serious or not

Hi,

I have developed the issue previously posted here

I have now developed this issue.

Is it serious, ie, can I just live with it or will is cause other damage if not resolved.

You can live with it for a while, its irritating more than damaging. However, as with all unwanted noises, I wouldnt leave it too long, as I'm sure some damage will occur if you leave it too long

I had it too... but fixed it with the fix on this thread...

According to an SIB BMW issued outlining the fix, it is harmless. I'm with adamski, a rotating metal part banging against another metal part cannot be good in the long run.
