i would defo pay that for a few bits of cleverly covered boxboard and a camera.

Its more a statement than anything else. The bags are worth as much as the cameras. For the up your arse photographers that feel unless they look like Cartier Bresson that they dont look the part.. funnily enough Cartier was also a wealthy man so could afford the kit his Leica was one of the very first models!

Apparently so. Thats dollars, its a limited edition and the M9 is the most sought after.

I really don't even understand the average hobby photographer that thinks they need to buy a d3, d4 pro camera to take holiday photos and never prints a photo large enough to need a full frame sensor resolution. Most of those full frame photos only make it as far as the computer screen.
