Managed to take advantage of a break in the weather today after giving her a bit of a dose of the snowfoam. Thought I'd take along my new camera and snap a shot for the monthly competition.
Also managed to distract some cricketers at a local game with the sound of the exhaust. Success! Anyway pretty pleased with the end result but its going to take some time getting used to the new features.

Thanks for the comments guys. Picked up a 5D MKII to work alongside my 7D :) bit of a Canon nut lol

A 5D MKii is my weapon of choice. Just waiting for the MKiii to be debugged and come down in price a little

Love it!

I'm a Canon nut also, but can only afford a 40d...although I have a lovely 70-200 f2.8 IS L series. Maybe one day I will make the step up to a pro body.

Lovely photo!

Cheers, there isn't a great deal of difference in IQ at web resolutions but higher ISO performance is considerably better. 40D is a great body, I still use my 50D regularly as its like a pair of comfy shoes.
70-200 would give you some useful range on a full frame. :)

The glass makes all the difference. I have that lens and a number of other L lenses. The 70-200 f/2.8 IS L is widely reckoned to be Canon's best ever and I use mine a lot

Yeah that is a very good lens, I have the F4 IS version which is permanently attached to the 50D but I tend to use my 24-70 F2.8L II for general work, it's a superb lens for shooting cars :)
