Happened to be in a dealers today and while waiting asked about the run out ///M's

Seems there is just one left in the country, a fairly well specced black. Still asking for £45k+ on it

Really made me laugh when the group stock includes:

Z4M ROADSTER - 3.2 2dr Mar 2008/ 08 13,823 miles £22,850
Interlagos Blue Metallic with Black Nappa Leather. Bluetooth Telephone preparation, Rear park distance control, Heated seats, Wind deflector, Electric Driver And Passanger seats with driver Memory, Extended Storage, Soft top - Black.

£22,000 price difference on an 11 month old car from the same dealer before you even begin to haggle :o

I take it that it's a roadster, surely all the coupes are long gone......

:poke:

Far too many obvious jibes however they did have just 2 'new' in the showroom: A 2.0 roadster and a black 3.0Si coupe, so I'll take it that's what doesn't sell :poke:

No he had the deceny to laugh, when I asked if he could see any reason to pursue the discussion when he was asking full RRP for a runout model, when <1 yr old full warrantly examples were a good £20k less.

My local dealer had a zero-miles registered E92 M3 with the new DCT 'box and all the trimmings (list over £56k) for £44k - I know what I'd rather have at that kind of money.

Still, at least he laughed :D

Wonder how long it'll take to shift at that money - was it Sytner stock or just floating around?

I agree on the choice for that money or even 2 Z4's

I believe the guy searched all UK stock. I'm sure there will be a few preregistered around too.

I gues that line was not enough: "Z4M ROADSTER - 3.2 2dr Mar 2008/ 08 13,823 miles £22,850". :P

.....last time I looked you could still spec a Z4 on the BMW UK website and I tried this about a month ago. Wonder why they left this 'live' if Z4 production stopped last year. I`ve heard some talk before that even older BMW`s , BMW might still build ya one if you had the money to pay.

Sure the website was left up, no doubt just to encourage you to try only to be later told the good news that their's a new model.

They stopped produsction last August IIRC. Build a new one - urban myth. No way will that line still be functional, nor enough bits around to simply handmake a 'prototype', or recreate any older model

There is a Morris Minor around that was built entirely out of spare parts and it cost several times the cost of a new one...lol

That car is in Warwick...one of the reasons it is being sold by Sytner Tollbar Volvo is that it has missed the 1200 mi service. Explains the price somewhat too!

08s are going for mid-high 20s at present. Still 18-20k less though considering most cars have a number of options that would have added to the list price...

At that money it's tempting to throw another £8k in or so and try and replace mine with an 08.. just for the couple of years warranty.
