Can anyone recommend a image host that doesnt resize your photos so that they are too small? I currently use photobucket and the largest width seems to be under 800 pixels. I really need to present my image at the 1024 pixel maximum so that you can see the detail. All recommendations appreciated.

Try Flickr or Shutterfly. I had the same problem in Photobucket. I think they are trying to save on server space. Hope this helps.

Try http://imageshack.us/
Then save the forum code it presents you with once uploaded at the size you want.

After an hour and a half trying to create a flickr account i give up. I have never been so frustrated on the internet before! :headbang:

Kinda gutted mine is now rendered disqualified as I appear to have misunderstood the rules (the CAR in the picture must be yours, not that the PICTURE of the car must be yours)

Kinda also wish someone pointed that out before the competition closed, as I could have easily swapped out the E89 for mine, rather than wait till it was closed

In case anyone is wondering, the BMW that my car is reflected in is my 325Ci. Pic taken in my driveway after a grueling morning washing and waxing two cars.

not sure if its been said but Lucy didnt take her pic right so surely that isnt allowed?

Where have you got that from? :?

C'mon people, stop the sniping. What's next " no pro's allowed" ? There goes a third of the entries.....

I like seeing ALL the pics, the "poorer" ones are as welcome to me as the "stunning ones", including all the photoshopped ones. We are all proud of our Zeds and some of us are not pro's with a camera so I say WTF, let it fly and enjoy the show....

Wow plenty of scrutineering in this months competition. Almost as bad as the after race examination of an F1 car (unless you are Ferrari that is).

Just out of interest are there any pro togs on here?

Oh I just thought I recalled seeing Lucys pics in a thread and she'd said 'my friend took some photos for me of the Z' etc. I may be wrong.

Also I doubt any pro's enter, I've only seen 1 pro photographer on here, ok I'd say I've seen a few images (the oil tower one and the warehouse type shot) that I'd qualify as pro quality. Often amatuers think a picture is great but a pro will tear it to bits. I'd recomend anyone who thinks there images are good use www.photosig.com for construcive critiques, helps you learn about things you might never even have noticed before.

I'd be interested to know too - just to see how my photos compare. I ain't pro - couldn't ever be with the cheapest of the cheap DSLRs and lenses - but I do add a cheeky watermark to my photos just for a bit of recognition

I took this with a £120 Canon 350D and a £60 lens, having good kit helps but its not essential to taking good photos.

I think that was a different thread quite a few months ago. The last ones I posted were a joint effort, I took some of them. I'm learning! :)

Ok.

As for a11y- that shoot with the power tower things is probably up there with the best I've ever seen on this forum. IMO some of the cropping could be better but apart from that its pretty much pro level to me.
