The joys of daytime tv!

Currently sat at home recovering from surgery,
Oh the delights of daytime tv.
Glad I’ve got the forum to keep me amused.
Was hoping to be able to go out, but been advised to rest up for a few days to let the stitches heal.
How do people sit and watch tv all day?
Always kept active, so being told to sit quiet for a few days is not my idea of fun.
Never mind, soon be out and about.
Does going for a spin in the z count as taking it easy

Lol - I love a bit of daytime TV when I'm in the shop for 14hrs! Mind you, the Wife probably wouldn't agree with my choices of; (old) Top Gear, The Sweeney, The Professionals and Minder (the "proper" one with Dennis Waterman) - She thinks daytme TV is Jezza Kyle, four in a bed and dinner date ffs..

Mike

Some good choices there Mike,
Old top gear, always worth a watch.
Will grin and bare it, soon be out and about.
Now where’s the for sale section 😳

Last time I was ill I sunk to despair with back to back episodes of Ice road truckers and a dozen of the same ilk from tree felling, panning for gold, trucking in Aus. etc.

Although I felt my life draining away I began to be ready for series 12 episode 23 to see more driving on ice or another tree felled :headbang:

Yep that's me for this afternoon, too wet and snowy to be out in the garden or workshop today once I've been into town (if I can stop reading posts on here) I can start one of these ready for the engine build on my 71 mini restoration or the 32 High Boy I want to build.

Hope your recovery goes well and you can get back in the Zed soon :)

Thanks Marlon, yes reading a few mags, playing on the forum, and channel hopping.
Had the z all detailed the other day, fitted the mm exhaust tips, it’s looking good sat on the drive covered in frost.
Just need the new ventilated fog lights too clear and I’ll be a happy bunny 😀

I was in the same situation recently but, as I knew the surgery and subsequent recovery period was coming up, saved myself the box set of Game Of Thrones to watch!

I find listening to the radio quiet relaxing, daytime tv just numbs the brain.
Hope your making a good recovery.

Yes , just got to take it easy for a few days.
Not to painful, just got to give the stitches time to heal.

I've read that mini tuning book by mr vizard, I fitted a 12g940 cylinder head and an lcb exhaust with a downdraught carb.
It was a weapon after that lot :P

I managed to avoid that trip after surgery and continued to work using my laptop

I've been working from home the last month and never miss a bit of hardcore pawn at 1 on blaze.

Mind the rsi ...

I work 4 on 4 off so when at home especially this time of the year I'm either on the Xbox One,Nintendo Switch or the PC gaming rig I've built. Never get bored. :D

Np good at resting up here either. But apparently it's some times for the best. :)

Day time TV is a total waste of your life though. Pop the radio on and read a good book.

I cancelled my TV licence last September, saving £142 per year and haven't missed terrestrial TV one jot.
I worked out the only thing I'm going to miss is Wimbledon.

Well my thread has certainly kept me entertained, well that and my never ending search for new wheels for my z.
My recovery is coming on well despite the 22 stitches, but I’m back to work Monday, on light duties, with stitches coming out the following Monday.
Love this forum, such a friendly bunch, like an extended family, but you don’t have to have them round for lunch.
Cheers guys
Grant

Well today I will hopefully be having my stitches removed 😀
It’s been increasingly itchy, so will be glad to have it sorted.
