The Job and a Urine Test. Food for Thought

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their A _ S, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? :headbang:

Oh a perfect world....

Lock up your homes and cars and get ready for crime like we've never seen - yes it could get worse if testing for welfare became law. I like your thinking; I'm just of the opinion it could make our situation worse...

I tend to agree. Not that I support people who are taking advantage of the system to get free money especially for drugs but maybe it will get worse before it gets better?

That would create jobs, no? You force people to pee in a cup... gotta hire people to collect them now! :)
...and a lab tech to run the test....
write the report...
file the results...
and prepare consolidated reports for Congress....
and commissions to study the effectiveness of the program
....and on and on and on....
WOW...Government.... :headbang:

Hmmm... so running this program would cost a lot of $$ which means that taxpayers would see increases to their taxes to support such an initiative.

So the Government IS saving money by not having this pee-in-cup nonsense! :D

There is already a lot of effort that goes into welfare fraud. Trust me, they will find a way to cheat the system. Some will spend more energy attempting not to work than it would take working! :scratchhead:
