I've had the Pfizer jab on the 31st, currently typing with my third arm.

Felt a bit rough the evening and day following, common side effects like headache, slight raised temp but by the 3rd I was out running etc

Nurse and the death (first time I'm hearing about it), cause or effect? Cars should be banned because many people die in them?

Are you scheduled for the 21 day spacing or the 12 week? Glad to hear you're feeling OK.
Wth respect to cars vs vaccine, you'll find that anti-car sites aren't banned from Facebook, Instagram, Google, Twitter or YouTube.

Glad to hear its working well for you
Was it the first part of the 2 part that you were given I assume? Any idea when you will get the 2nd part?
I am interested to find out how long the protection from the virus will last.

In terms of cause and effect, that doesn't really accurately represent the situation, it would be more like someone with zero health conditions getting into a car and inexplicably and suddenly dying.

It was a two part and I'm due to get the second later on this month however the news appears to suggest otherwise. I'm a surgeon in frontline healthcare but I no better informed than the rest of the public unfortunately when it comes to the politics with delivering a sound vaccination program.

I think cause and effect does apply, she had a vaccine and then died. It doesn't mean she died because of the vaccine, we have little to no evidence.

Mrs Stevo's 85 year old mum has already got her appointment for the booster jab which is in line with the originally published time frame.

Glad its being given to frontline staff first although I'm hearing that it doesnt include emergency workers like police which is barmy imo
Hopefully you get the 2nd shot on time, it appears that there is significant concern that not getting it in time will reduce the effectiveness of the whole thing!

I agree but the equivalence is not the same was my point. Cars dont cause people to die on their own as might potentially be the case for the vaccine in this case.

I notice you are a Nofolk boi Stevo- My Gran who is 95 lives in Necton (just outside of Swaffham) and she hasn't been given an appointment time for her 1st Jab (as of 5 days ago- she might since I have spoken to her).
My next door (88yo) neighbour got hers in the last couple of weeks.

Too late to save my mum sadly....100% covid that killed her, no major health problems before it got into the care home and a test was positive...it’s on the death certificate as well....and that’s not just a covid blamed statistic masking something else, it’s fact.

Sorry to hear this and sincere condolences. Its a vicious thing.

The loss of a mother is bad enough at any time but in circumstances such as this - I just can’t begin to imagine how you feel.

So sorry to hear this.

Ah thank you so much chaps....sorry i shouldn’t have put that in really here, it’s just the vaccine was so close.....not even a year too late, it’s not to be but it would have been a life saver.

As you were...thank you.

We have a family friend who is in her 40's and works in the NHS as a PA to an exec. Neither get anywhere near patients but she had the jab last Monday. Sounds as if it's going to anyone who is employed by the NHS regardless of role. If that is what is happening it's a disgrace.

One of my neighbours is a Pediatrician at our local hospital, and he's had the needle the other day. Doesn't go anywhere near the elderly.

Mrs Stevo's mum lives in Essex.

A friends son is a mental health nurse who does home visits. He went for his jab as instructed - there was none available and was told to come back another time!

I’ve just watched the Question Time Special - That minister of Vaccination, Nadhim Zahawi, is a complete BS merchant!

He was suggesting that everything is under control and said the top four categories will be jabbed by mid February.

I’m not too sure they will meet that figure, however I do I hope that I’m wrong. This should be the countries focus, forget about everything thing else and get everyone vaccinated using every resource possible to the UK. ASAP. This is now a national emergency and red tape should be removed and just get the vaccine out and use every single resource at getting this achieved like Israel is doing.
