Doesn't need any, point I'm making is the importance for ALL age groups to be vaccinated to minimise any future outbreaks and hopefully get life back to some sort of normality. I'm sure you would agree.

Got my first jab yesterday. Not the one I would have liked, but it will give me a vaccine passport at least.

The owner of a pub, shop or any business can refuse access to anyone now should they wish and don't have to give a reason. Some pubs and nightclubs don't allow access to anyone in jeans or trainers. Just as easy to say no jab no access should they want. That would be a business decision for them.

So are you saying that they can refuse entry to an under 16 year old, a pregnant person, some one with a disability (who can't take it) or someone who won't take it for religious reasons?
They can now even without anything to do with the vaccine, so what changes. If you turn up at a pub or shop and the owner just looks at you and says you are not coming in then that is that. They don't have to have or give a reason.

Lets just accept that some people regardless of any facts or figures will always be able to counter them with other facts and figures from some source. You will never win an argument with such people. All I ask is that if we let them live in their world and live their lives according to their beliefs, they should stop peddling their nonsense, accept we won't change and let us live in ours.

So this should be your last post in this thread then? :)

That would be logical..

Seen this tonight, but remember, big pharma is your friend and absolutely 100% trustworthy especially with their immunity from any possible liability at any stage!

Its just a card to show which vaccine you have had and the batch number

If they do it, apparently you will be able to download a document from the NHS giving your details and details of when and what vaccine you had. It won't happen officially because our Government are scared of being unpopular and probably more scared of the human rights lawyers waiting in line. Even if it did happen, people will be selling forged ones at pub doors, and everywhere else for a fiver.

In theory yes.

In practice no.

The realities are is that maybe you might conform but I would imagine that most wouldn't be leaving a pub, shop etc without an explanation.

The reasons I mentioned are a handful of the protected characteristics and can't (by law) be discriminated against.

So it is not really a concern of mine.

What does this even mean, can you explain every single aspect of this because if you cant its obviously nothing more than just a dubious source thats probably totally fake :poke:

Ha ha ha.

It's funny as I went through a few of the cases (details of every one is on there) and all I can say is that they were very unlucky....

It's not that any of the money paid was for price fixing, false claims, deceptive marketing, kickbacks and bribery cases....

But it's ok because are government are straight and true and it's not like say they are in bed with Pharma or it has an influence on them. It's not that for example Patrick Vallance holds 43,111 shares in GSK and was a president during his time there. I am sure they hold no influence on him.

I am sure you could spend all the time in the world googling our governments links to the pharmaceutical industry and nothing would come up.

So I have changed my mind. I am going to get this jab. I am so lucky that I have all these nice people looking out for my welfare.

Just watched the UK Gov briefing from yesterday (Clicky) and found an interesting bit of data on their charts (@ 9:30).

Its seems that without a vaccine 25-34 year olds would see a 7.0 per 100,000 pop hospitalisation rate over 4 weeks
With the vaccine the rate for 55-64 is 5.8 per 100,000 pop over 4 weeks

So basically the vaccine only gives someone over 55 an ever so slightly better chance than a non vaccinated 25-34 year old. Really rubbishes the accusations of selfishness and claims of "you need to protect the NHS"

That's great because the chances of 25-34 year old are pretty low.

Another bit of good news re: "Those variants" that are going to get us:

Preliminary findings of a study conducted by Israeli health authorities show there is no coronavirus variant currently in the country that is resistant to vaccines.

https://www.ynetnews.com/health_science/article/B1ItnyySd

I know it's only the preliminary results but still another step in the positive direction.
