If you look into the slot only half is worn, if you slide the pin further into the handle so it slides into the slot on the non worn bit it will be ok just glue a spacer into the other end to stop the pin from sliding back into the worn bit. Hope that makes sense.
One followup question, in regards the spacer - what sort of material should I be looking at for it? The car lives outside so I've had to put the handle and everything back in until I get a replacement, would be good to be prepped ASAP.mr nurburgring said:I looking at the pic of the handle I would say you need a new one.
The carrier part will be ok so long as you slide the pin onto the good bit in the slot.
