With Bee populations ever declining in the UK its really important to do your bit and help them on their way. We found this bee very lethargic on the floor, looking sorry for itself. So We put a little honey in a cup and added some water then put a little on the floor and the bee seemed to love it! Sticking its long tongue out, a few minutes later it flew off!

I normally hate bee's but, this one is so damn cute  the quality of your photos is superb to say the least! I cant get enough of them tom!

When your walking on the moon...

This one was shot in the Alabama Hills, ‪‎California‬. One of the most amazing landscapes, I was right at the end of my 3 month trip across the US and had gone to shoot the Mobius Arch, while I was waiting for the light I turned around and saw this brilliant cloud formation along with the moon like landscape I thought it made quite a captivating scene. Beautiful soft evening light, amazing experience brings back good memories.

Tried to capture a few shots of the mood at sun set / Moon rise Yesterday. The setting is Bodmin moor.

Interesting as it was to try and capture shots of a red moon. To be honest the view in the other direction was both more familiar and gorgeous. :D

And while we are on the moon. Here's my current Desktop pic, a shot I took a few days ago from our drive way canera resting on the roof of the car.

Modern point and shoot Cameras just amaze me. :D

My effort on capturing the moon. Took it yesterday evening (one day too late...) on my terrace with way too much lights around me :(
Used my Nikon D7100 with Nikkor 18.0-200.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 VRII (ƒ/14.0 200.0 mm ISO 200)

Another one I took same time and place. Kind of liked it :)
Same setup (ƒ/14.0 200.0 mm ISO100)

And the last one I took walking around in a forest on sunday.
Here I used my Nikon1 V1 hybrid camera.

Stag and his Doe's, Red Deer, Martindale Valley, Ullswater Cumbria

First time out with the 7DMKII and really impressed with it!

I have been out tracking the Red Deer in the Martindale valley for the last week or so. Beautiful creatures and the largest mammals in the UK. The valley comes alive with deer whaling, Its the middle of the mating season and now is the best time to go out and see them, this is a snippet of what was a huge heard of around 50!! Really incredible to watch. Haven't seen any rutting yet but hope to in the next few weeks.

Here is a more up close and personal shot of the Cumbrian Red Deer on the Dalemain estate.

After sitting and waiting patiently I spotted a stag peering over the ferns right at the end of the Martindale Valley. Almost out of nowhere another walked right by giving this engaging composition. I Love sitting and watching these majestic animals. Deer are common throughout Britain but these red deer are shy and difficult to capture as their eyesight is impeccable, getting close is difficult. Really pleased with this one!
